Canada's East Coast

Canada's East Coast bluegrass organizations are separated into four distinct regions - the provinces of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland/Labrador.

Canada's East Coast has historically been a rich and diverse region for music, in general and bluegrass music in particular. Nova Scotia lays claim to Canada's oldest bluegrass festival and the third oldest in North America. This region has produced some of Canada's most acclaimed musicians and artists and sets the bar for artists across the country.

BMAC Member bands are leaders in the field of Canadian Bluegrass. Membership in BMAC indicates a serious attitude about taking the music and professionalism to the next step. These are the musicians who will rank Canadian bluegrass in the top of the field.
