Pacific Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Society

More Details:

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Pacific Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Bluegrass and Old Time music through regular jams, workshops, concerts, and other special events. To keep updated on Pacific Bluegrass activities, please refer to the calendar of events section of this website or follow us on Facebook.

Composed of approximately 400 members and operated on a volunteer basis, Pacific Bluegrass always welcomes new members, as well as people who are just curious or just want to listen. If you play an instrument and are interested in Bluegrass or Old Time Music, we invite you to join us.

On the first Monday of each month we host the fabulous Sue Malcolm's Slow Pitch JamVarious types of open jams and other events (Concerts, Open Mics, Workshops) are held on other Mondays. All our events take place at The ANZA Club, located at 3 West 8th Ave., Vancouver, BC. (Corner of 8th Ave and Ontario St.). There is pay parking on the streets around the club, but it can be hard to find a spot on busy nights. Nearby transit is on Broadway and Main Street.

An annual membership costs $30 (individual) and $50 (family), with a concession option of $20. Fees go entirely towards covering the costs of running the club. All work is done on a volunteer basis.

Drop-in fees for jams at the ANZA Club are $6 for members and $8 for non-members, except for Slow-Pitch jams which costs $8/$10 to help cover the cost of the band.

Memberships can be purchased online at this site, or in person at our Monday night events. We accept cash, PayPal and Debit/Credit.
